Bette Price is an international author who speaks, writes and consults on marketing, management and leadership issues. Her successful book True Leaders: How Exceptional CEOs and Presidents Make a Difference by Building People and Profits, published by Dearborn Trade Press, has received 5-Star ratings on Amazon.com and has been published in Spanish, Korean and Chinese.
Bette is President and CEO of The Price Group, a management consulting company which she founded in 1982. The firm’s mission is to help companies achieve long-term success through true leader strategies. Her clients range from small to mid-sized businesses to such major corporations as Prudential Asset Resources, Washington Mutual, IBM and Sony Electronics.
Bette is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC), a designation awarded by the Institute of Management Consultants USA (IMC USA) and represents evidence of the highest standards in consulting and adherence to the ethical canons of the profession. She is a member of the National Speakers Association, an active member of the Institute of Management Consultants USA, and CEO Netweavers, and is a board member of TexChange. Bette is certified in the science of how and why people perform in the workplace with certifications from Target Training International in the following workplace areas: Professional Behavioral Analyst, Professional Values Analyst, Personal Talent & Skills Inventory and the TriMetrix™ Hiring and Benchmarking System.
Prior to operating her own business, Bette was an award-winning print and broadcast journalist. She was a columnist and feature writer for The Kansas City Star and was a part of the team that earned the newspaper a Pulitzer prize for coverage of the tragic Hyatt Hotel skywalk collapse. Prior to joining the newspaper she hosted her own news and information television shows; one for the NBC-TV owned and operated station in Cleveland, Ohio, and one for the CBS-TV affiliate in Kansas City. Her news documentary on downtown revitalization was nominated for a local Emmy Award.
Bette is a frequent media resource on marketing, leadership and ethics issues and has been quoted in such major publications as The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The Oregonian, Investors Daily and Harvard Business Management Update. Her articles have been published extensively in a variety of industry trade publications Bette co-authored Finding Midas with Renn Capital Group president, Russell Cleveland, and on a selective basis is hired to write books for business experts and successful entrepreneurial companies.
