Susan Tonjes

Susan Tonjes runs her own managerial consulting company , VP Consulting & Associates, LLC based in University Park, Texas.  

Susan is an experienced consultant leveraging more than 20 years in corporate America, primarily in the fortune 500. In addition to corporate experience, Ms. Tonjes is a founding board member of the non-profit Empowering Women Leaders, in the position of Treasurer. Her experience includes profit and loss responsibilities of greater than $300 million, and management of more than 1000 employees.  

Susan began her career in 1986 as a Financial Analyst for American Airlines, and after three years, she continued her career as an Industrial Engineering consultant. Over the course of the following years her career included responsibilities in Program Management, Financial Analysis, Optimizing Business Processes, Software Development, Marketing Alliances, and National Account Management. Her career in the fortune 500 culminated in the position of Senior Vice President for Sabre Holdings, a $2.8 billion distribution and technology services conglomerate in travel and transportation retailing. . 

Susan was the youngest women to achieve an SVP position at Sabre Holdings in 1998. Susan has served on Boards related to both her professional and personal life including the EIG, and EWL. . 

In the community, Susan volunteers with Parkland Hospital, and local animal welfare groups. She enjoys travel, theater, music, and painting.  Susan lives in University Park Texas with her small herd of cats, Sheba, Zamboni, Piggy, and Two.  

Ms Tonjes holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Purdue University.
