Membership

We have several ways for you to get involved in EWL. There are various contribution levels that will work with any budget. We also want members to get involved in our fundraising activities, membership drives and mentoring our "Stars." Click here to download an EWL membership form.

CURRENT COMMITTEE OPPORTUNITIES

Funds Development Committee

The Empowering Women as Leaders (“EWL”) Board of Directors plans to add a member who will serve as director of funds development for the organization (grants, fundraisers, strategic planning). If this position interests you, contact Susan Tonjes, stonjes@swbell.net.

Marketing / PR Committee

Community awareness is an integral piece of EWL’s ability to continue providing scholarships and mentoring to our STARs. If you have an interest in helping us develop that awareness through work on our newsletter, media, website and the development of marketing collateral, your talents are welcome. For more information, contact Bette Price, bette@pricegroupleadership.com.

Membership Committee

EWL is in a growth spurt! Help us recruit women and corporate partners who share our passion for supporting and empowering women in achieving success through scholarships, mentoring and networking with professional women. Get involved with our membership by planning, promoting and presenting networking events, educational programs, and member activities. For more information, contact Amy Stewart, amy.stewart@wilsonelser.com.

Mentoring Program Committee

“People’s lives change dramatically when they are mentored well.” Join us in guiding our STARs to navigate personal, educational, and career choices. Our goal is to provide our STARs access to a wide range of careers, subject-matter experts and experiences through mentoring. If you are passionate about helping other women achieve their goals, we need you! For more information, contact Kym Sosolik, ksosolik@cox.smu.edu.

STAR Committee

Join us to promote the EWL STAR program among non-traditional students at TWU; improve the recruiting process and materials to include application, interviewing, selection, and recognition of scholarship recipients. This is a rewarding and fulfilling opportunity to share in helping create life-altering moments for our women. For more information, contact Leigh Ober, lcober@msn.com.
