Melanie Winters

"EWL Grad Now a Full-Time Mom and Office Manager"

Melanie (Winters) Cowling graduated with honors in May 2007 in biology and became a mother in June. She has been able to work at home as an office manager and take care of her new baby. She is also currently enrolled in the EMBA program at TWU. Melanie was an EWL Star in 2005-2006 and credits much of her success to her mentor, Carolyn Pineda. "Carolyn has been able to set me up with people who I can ask questions about a typical work day in their field. This is helpful because I can gain knowledge about careers I may have interest in.- EWL is a sisterhood that I know I can count on anytime. I can lean on them for advice and it is nice to have such a personal support system." 

Melanie has recommended other women to join EWL and apply for the EWL Star program. In fact, one of them is now a Star. She believes other women can benefit from the same support she has received from EWL. In addition it is a fun program.
